Shri Hanuman Chalisa Lyrics, Meaning & Benefits 

The Hanuman Chalisa (called हनुमान चालीसा in Hindi) which literally means ‘Forty Chaupais on Lord Hanuman’,  is a Hindu devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is an auspicious praise-poem containing “Chalis” or “forty” verses in praise of Lord Hanuman. It was composed over four hundred years ago by the great poet Tulsidas in ‘Awadhi’, a dialect of Hindi.

It is believed that if any time a man experience negativity or is frightened, or encounters jealousy, rage, and frustration, and if he starts either reading or chanting the Hanuman Chalisa, it will fill in him the positive energy and remove all negativity. The fear from the frightened mind will be removed. The mind will expand with knowledge, and the faith in humanity will be restored.
