Maa Kushmanda Katha (Story)
According to Durga Saptashati, Maa Durga manifested as Siddhidatri from the left side of Lord Shiva. Later, she took the form of Kushmanda Devi and entered the core of the sun, becoming its life force.
It is believed that the universe began when Maa Kushmanda smiled like a blossoming flower bud. She is the only goddess who resides within the sun, from where she controls and sustains the entire solar system.
